Salem Lions Easter Egg Hunt draws big crowd

The Salem Lion’s Easter Egg hunt saw a significant increase in number of children participating in the 86th annual event in Bryan Memorial Park on Sunday.

Chair Leon Chapman was pleased with the turnout.

“I was really pleased with the turnout this year.  It seemed to go really smooth.  Lot more people than last year.  And hope for a bigger crowd.  And by us having 6 grand prizes this year that was more encouraging for people to come and get a good prize.”

In all six bicycles were given away along with a number of Easter Baskets and toys.
