Retired Centralia Fire Chief Mike Kracht has passed away.
Kracht was a 24 year member of the department. He began his career in June 1988, was promoted to Lieutenant in November 1999 and promoted to fire chief in June 2006. Kracht served in the chief’s position for six years before retiring in June of 2012.
Kracht passed away Friday morning.
Funeral services are tentatively set for Tuesday, April 11th at two pm at the Sutherland Funeral Home, with visitation from one until the time of the service.
