A 28-year-old rural Kell man was arrested by Centralia Police on a Marion County felony failure to appear warrant on a conviction for possession of methamphetamine. Kerry Whipple of Cartter Road was taken to the Marion County Jail where he remained in lieu of $7,500 bond.
A 29-year-old Richview woman was arrested by Salem Police on an outstanding Washington County felony failure to appear warrant on a conviction for possession of a hypodermic needle. Josie Mann of North Walnut was later transferred to the Washington County Jail at Nashville.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary to a home in the 63 hundred block of US 50 in rural Salem. A friend of the family reported money missing and important papers rifled through. There were no signs of forced entry.
The sheriff’s department also received a report of a chain saw being stolen since Monday from a residence in the 4000 block of Walnut Hill Road in Walnut Hill.
