The Kaskaskia College Board has approved the purchase of software system to assist in assessing student learning and course processes, course evaluations and related instructional design processes.
The system will be provided by HelioCampus Accreditation and Planning and Outcomes. The initial $198,728 cost will be paid through the college’s Title III grant. The yearly licensing fees will be paid for through institutional funds.
KC officials say all of the processes currently require a significant manual burden on staff and would require additional staff to maintain long term.
The college board also authorized President Evans to enter into an agreement with an outside firm to provide a compensation analysis of the college’s wages and benefits packages. With a number of positions currently open college administration has determined such an analysis could help in the recruitment, retention and engagement of staff.
