A 24-year-old Salem man told Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies he may have lost consciousness before leaving the Hardacre Road east of Route 37 Wednesday afternoon and crashing into a tree.
Trevor Lewis of West Warmoth indicated he had stepped on a nail at a housing construction site and began feeling light headed over the injury and possibly lost consciousness as he was driving on Hardacre Road.
Deputies report Lewis escaped injury in the crash, but was taken by United Medical Response to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of the foot injury.
He was ticketed for driving on a suspended license.
The crash occurred at 2:22 Wednesday afternoon.
