A 22-year-old Salem man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison after pleading guilty in Marion County Court to felony theft.

Robert Gott of North Trenary Street admitted to taking a flat-screen TV from a home in the 200 block of West Warmoth last April.   The charge was a felony due to a past retail theft charge.

As part of the plea, charges of residential burglary and criminal trespass to a residence in connection with the same incident were dropped.

After getting out of prison, Gott will have to serve one year of parole and credit for time served.
