The Marion County Health Department has recorded another COVID-19 related death.
Health Department Administrator Melissa Mallow is saddened to announce the female in her 90s was positive at the time of her death, was a long term care resident, was not vaccinated, and was hospitalized.
The death is the 220th recorded in Marion County since the beginning of the pandemic.
Mallow, in her weekly updated, also announced seven Marion County congregate care facilities are in outbreak status. One facility has 58 positive cases, another 46, and a third 23 cases. One other facility has nine, two have three cases apiece and one facility has two positive cases.
The CDC tracker will be released Thursday afternoon that will provide additional information on new and probable cases.
