Police Beat for Thursday, January 5th, 2023

Centralia Police have arrested a 26-year-old Mt. Vernon man on drug charges.  Bryce Edwards of South 7th was taken to the Marion County Jail.

A 27-year-old Centralia man has been arrested by Centralia Police for resisting arrest, theft, aggravated assault and aggravated domestic battery.   Anthony Hernandez, who told authorities he was homeless, was also arrested on a Marion County failure to appear warrant for domestic violence.  Bond on the warrant is set at $5,000.

41-year-old Patrick Cobb of Bond Street in Patoka was arrested by Centralia Police for violation of an order of protection.

42-year-old Willie Barker of South Perrine in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police on an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant.

Three others were arrested on outstanding Marion County warrants.

23-year-old Cody Lindsey of Perkins Street in Odin is being held in lieu of $10,000 bond on a Marion County warrant seeking to revoke his probation on a conviction for possession of under five grams of methamphetamine.

22-year-old Drayvon Brown of River Road in Iuka is being held in lieu of $3,000 bond on a Marion County traffic warrant.

28-year-old Bobby Motes of College Street in Mt. Vernon is being held in lieu of $5,000 bond on a petition to revoke his probation in a domestic battery conviction.
