Salem Police, Salem Fire, and United Medical Response were all summoned to a home in the 900 block of North Lincoln Saturday night after a 90-year-old woman with dementia disappeared.
As searchers were about to set out in the neighborhood, a Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy using the spotlight on his car looked into a car window two homes away and saw a lady matching the description of the missing woman sitting inside.
It was not clear why the woman had entered the car. She was taken to Salem Township Hospital to be checked out.
The request for help for the search was put out at 9:25 Saturday night.
