There are two blood drives in Marion County on Wednesday.
The Community Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at the Salem Community Activity Center from noon to five Wednesday afternoon. There is a critical shortage of blood heading into the Christmas Holidays and everyone is encouraged to give. New long-sleeved Red Cross T-Shirts will be available as long as they last and register to win a $50 or $10 gift certificate to El Rancherito. Food will be provided to donors by Salem Township Hospital. Schedule ahead of time for when you want to give blood by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS. You may also make an appointment on line at Redcrossblood.org.
Impact for Life will hold a blood drive from two to six Wednesday afternoon in the Iuka Fire Department meeting room at 116 South Front Street. Masks are optional. Appointments are required by calling 800-747-5401 or by going online to bloodcenter.org/group and then use group code 11310. Those donating will get a choice of a gift card or a donation to Feeding America.
