Fire destroyed a mobile home east of Iuka late Sunday night.
Iuka Fire Chief Kenny Eagan says the fire was at the Shawn Lindsey home at 91-08 US 50 east of Iuka and the Skillet Fork Bottoms.
The fire was initially spotted by a passerby on US 50. When firemen arrived, the blaze had already consumed about two-thirds of the mobile home.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. Lindsey had just left his residence 15 to 20 minutes before the fire was discovered.
Salem and Xenia Firemen were called to bring tankers for additional water to the scene as well as manpower. United Medical Response also stood by, but there were no injuries.
The fire call came in at 10:05 Sunday night, with firemen on the scene until 12:23 Monday morning. Iuka Firemen were called back to a rekindle of the fire at six Monday morning. They were on the scene for about an hour.
