Police Beat for Friday, November 4th, 2022

Salem Police arrested a 51-year-old Salem man for a violation of the sex offender law.  Bradley Gibson of North Jackson allegedly was within 500 feet of a park when he was taken into custody near Jackson Park on the northeast side of Salem on Thursday.

A 20-year-old Salem man was arrested by Salem Police for criminal damage to property.  Creedon Phillips of South Broadway is accused of damaging a tire on a car parked in the 300 block of East Oglesby.

Four others were arrested on outstanding warrants.

  • 45-year-old Tanya DeBoer of East 10th Street in Centralia is being held in lieu of $15,000 bond on a Marion County felony failure to appear warrant on a possession of under 5 grams of methamphetamine conviction. She was arrested by Centralia Police.
  • 42-year-old Chrystal Berkel of East Church in Salem was arrested by Wamac Police on a Marion County failure to appear felony warrant on a possession of under five grams of methamphetamine conviction.  Bond is set at $5,000.
  • 20-year-old Jay Simpson of Old 51 in Sandoval was arrested at the courthouse by sheriff’s deputies for violation of bail bond on a pending burglary case after allegedly testing positive for cannabis use. Bond is set at $10,000.
  • 30-year-old Daniel Dulaney of Fourth Street in Alma was arrested by sheriff’s deputies on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant on a criminal damage to property conviction. He posted $500 bond and was released.
