Bobcats Fall To Talented Woodlawn At Rome Shootout
The Franklin Park Bobcats opened up their basketball season in the final game of the Rome Shootout Saturday evening. In a fun, physical ball game, Salem saw a 4th quarter lead slip away falling 51-39. Payton Gullion was very good for Salem finishing with 12 points. Landon Maxey fouled out with 11 and Trey Clark added 6. Luke McKay led Woodlawn with 14 as Trevor McClure and Tyson Frick added 10 each. The Bobcats are off again until November 1st when they travel to Wesclin.
The Salem JV dropped their game at the Rome Shootout to Woodlawn 39-24. Kyler King led Salem with 10 points, Caleb Squibb and Silas Lux added 4 points along with Rhett Starnes.
Selmaville Holds Off Cain & Patoka At Rome Shootout
Selmaville beat Patoka at Rome 41-34. A 12-4 fourth quarter helped Selmaville pull away from what was a tight game throughout. Wyatt McCarty finished with 23, Brendan Smith had 9 and Logan Butts 5. Brady Cain in the loss finished with 14 points 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocked shots. Kody Burk added 8 and Jesse Cain 6. Selmaville will travel to Kell on Tuesday for an OBC matchup.
Raccoon Beats Central City At CHS Shootout
At the CHS Shootout, Raccoon beat Central City 56-42. Michael Organ led Raccoon with 22, Marquis Ettress added 13 and Caden Lamb 10. Archie Goewey had 19 for Central City. Raccoon went 20-of-22 from the free throw line in the 2nd half. These two teams will play again tonight in an OBC matchup.
Also at the shootout, Central City’s JV beat St Mary’s 40-8 to put them at 2-0 so far on the young season.
