The South Central School Board was told during their annual audit presentation Wednesday night that they are once again in the highest category of recognition.

Doug Ess of Glass and Shuffett reported the district scored a 3.9 on a 4.0 scale.   South Central has been in the highest recognition category for the last five years and is the top one third of school district’s in the state for financial accountability.   Ess said the district had enough funds on hand to sustain 262.5 days without revenues coming into the district.

The board agreed to allow a Trap Shooting team to be formed in conjunction with the district similar to the Bass Fishing Team.

In personnel action, the board hired Trudy Bell as a teacher’s aide at the elementary building.  The board approved leaves of absence for Tracy Hulsey and Jami Guy.  Amanda Guerratz was hired as a girls high school basketball volunteer assistant and Stephen Robb as a boys high school basketball volunteer.
