A 27-year-old Hoffman man was injured Saturday when his car ran into the rear of an SUV stopped to make a turn into Monken Chrysler Nissan on West McCord Street in Centralia.
Centralia Police say Devan Eitel of Lyle Street hit the rear of an SUV driven by 21-year-old Keaton Talbot of Riverton, Utah.
Eitel was initially taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital and then airlifted to St. Louis. Two passengers in Eitel’s vehicle did not require hospital treatment. They were 19-year-old Alonna Dunning and a one-year-old male from Edwardsville. Talbot and a passenger in his SUV, 20-year-old Noah Kaufman, also refused treatment.
Eitel was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The crash occurred at 4:24 Saturday afternoon.
