The Salem Wildcats season came to an end in the IHSA Soccer Regional semifinals at Freeburg falling to top-seed Columbia 7-0.  Salem finishes their first year for coach Steve Baker at 10-9-and-2.  They also have a new goal scoring record holder with freshman Eli Baker leading the team and all the freshmen in the state with 28 goals in his first varsity season.  The Eagles advance to play Waterloo Gibault after their 2-1 win over Freeburg.  The score was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation and both OT periods, and Waterloo won 4-3 in PK’s to advance.

At Mater Dei, the host Knights got goals from Ben Van Aalst and Karan D’Souza in their 2-0 win over Maryville Christian.  They advance to play Breese Central who overcame a 3-0 deficit to beat Greenville 6-3.  Cody Dickshot finished with 3 goals for the Cougars.

At Murphysboro, Althoff beat Mt Carmel 10-0 and the hosts over Massac County 2-1.
