The Salem Police Department will be completing free child care seat checks from nine to noon on Saturday.
The checks will take place in the lot across the street from Salem IGA near the East Main and South Rotan Street intersection by trained car seat technicians.
The checks are part of National Seat Check Saturday.
The technicians will be able to tell you if your child seat has expired or needs updated. If it is not positioned or installed correctly, the seat will be reinstalled for you.
Again, the free child safety seat check is nine to noon Saturday in the lot across from Salem IGA at East Main and South Rotan.
