Salem Super Cruise draws 81 vehicles

The 33rd Annual Super Cruise on Saturday dodged a threat of rain Saturday afternoon which allowed the entire event to go off as planned.

Ken Carpenter organized the event.

“Very happy with it.  81 cars was a good turnout for what the weather was.  Very pleased with a lot of nice cars here and its beautiful.”

A large number of trophies were handed out, with the Best of Show award going to Ken Klaybor of DuBois for his 1968 Chevelle SS.

  • Best Ford – 1964 Ford Thunderbird (Wayne Steavens, Salem)
  • Mayor Choice – 1973 Chevrolet Z-28 Camaro (Richard & Anita Pond, Fairfield)
  • Applebees Choice – 1940 Hudson 2 Dr. Coupe (Ray & Deb Xanders, Fairfield)
  • Sheriff’s Choice – 1972 Chevy Chevelle SS (Josh & Layla Dunahee, Salem)
  • Holiday Inn Choice – 1955 Chevy BelAir Normad (Ben Webster, Kinmundy)
