A Rosemont, Illinois man was sentenced to 15 years in prison in Marion County Court for possession of 5 to 15 grams of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of 1 to 15 grams of fentanyl with intent to deliver.
Brian Coleman was originally arrested in April during a traffic stop by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies on Green Street Road in rural Centralia. Five other counts were dismissed as part of the plea, including possession of meth and two counts of a controlled substance, as well as Class X charges of possession of 15 to 100 grams meth with intent to deliver and possession of 15 to 100 grams of fentanyl with intent to deliver.
Coleman also had a Class X charge of delivery of between 100 and 400 grams of meth and being a felon in possession of a firearm filed after a May 5th, 2021 incident dropped as part of the plea.
Coleman was also ordered to pay a $2,217 fine from the bond posted in the case and given credit for time served.
