Edward Lee Herman, age 70, of Newark, Ohio, passed away on October 28, 2026, at The OSU James Hospital. Edward was born on July 27, 1956, in Olney, Illinois, to the late Arthur Charles and Lillian Lee (Kuehlig) Herman.
He proudly served for six years in the United States Navy. A lifelong fisherman, he also enjoyed bowling, playing pool, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family and friends, who meant so much to him.
Edward is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Kathy Herman; children, Jennifer (Brett Bell) Herman, Rebecca (Clifford) Moran, Avery Herman; brothers, Ron Herman and Wayne Herman; sister, Lisa Bartley; and sister-in-law, Sue (Rod) Rine; many nieces and nephews; cat, Daisy; and grand pups, Chelle, Kona, and Evie.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Mike Bartley and Mike Davis; and his father-in-law, Donald (Jo Ann) Davis.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 4-7 PM at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home. His services will be on Tuesday at 10 AM, with Fr. Anish Thomas officiating. The burial will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
