The Marion County Health Department will begin to offer adult high-dose and regular dose walk-in flu vaccination clinics at both offices (Salem and Centralia) starting on October 5, 2026. The walk-in clinics will be held Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Salem office and Monday – Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Centralia office. The walk-in clinics are contingent upon nurse availability.
The Marion County Health Department will be offering the pediatric flu vaccine to children ages 6 months to 17 years old by appointment only at our immunization clinics held on Mondays at the Salem office and on Wednesdays at the Centralia office. No walk-ins will be allowed for pediatric flu vaccinations.
The high-dose flu vaccine is for those individuals that are 65 years and older. MCHD does accept Medicare Part B and most Private Insurance Plans. If your insurance carrier does not cover flu vaccinations, then the cost of the high-dose flu vaccination will be $95.00.
MCHD does accept Managed Care Plans, Medicare Part B and most Private Insurance Plans. If your insurance carrier does not cover flu vaccinations, then the cost of the regular flu vaccination will be $60.00.
