Iuka Fire Chief Kenny Eagan says a tractor is a total loss following a late Tuesday morning fire.
The fire was on the Troy Burroughs property on Nicolson Creek Road.
Eagan says Burroughs had parked the tractor a few days earlier when it had alternator problem and burned some wires. It’s not clear what started the fire.
Iuka firemen fought a fire in a wheat stubble field on Sunday afternoon. The fire was on the Brian See property off the Robert Road south of Omega. About a quarter acre burned. No buildings were threatened. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
