The Franklin Park baseball team heads to Olney after hosting Casey Mt Vernon on Monday on 8th grade night in Salem with the Bobcats winning 12-1. Nolan Krutsinger doubled, scored 3 runs and drove in a pair. Maxsen Tiemann singled with 2 RBI and a run, Easton Keller singled, scored twice and drove in a run, Lewis Eddy also singled and scored along with Cambel Smith. EJ Wolfe scored twice and had an RBI. Noah Smith had an RBI and Weston Crouse scored a run. Wolfe tossed the one-hitter on the mound and struck out 8. Salem is 8-6-and-1.
Iuka beat Raccoon 11-8. Hosea Weems and Jace Bopp had 2 hits for Iuka. Zachariah Jones, Royce Nattier, Gibson Collins, Garrett Hunter and Bopp each drove in a run. Iuka will travel Selmaville today.
Despite trailing by as many as five runs, Selmaville rallied to beat Trinity 7-6. The game was tied at six in the top of the fifth when Reed Knapp singled home a run. Simon Fischer drove in 2 runs. Lucas Howe and Isaac Knapp each had 2 hits. Jacob Butts was the starter with Knapp and Fischer pitching in relief.
Noah Cain went 4-4 as Patoka/Odin beat New Horizon 10-0. He also struck out 14 batters in the five inning no-hitter. John Garrett and Drake Carbaugh drove in 2 runs.
