The Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting Wednesday to welcome a new unique downtown business.
Co-owner Brittany Moore says Spaces at 107 East Main near the Main and Broadway intersection is making space available to those who need a quiet place to work.
“We are a co-working space,” Moore said. “My hope is for it to be a place for our local community to come have a quiet space to work, study, maybe meet with someone or just come up with some new ideas. We have six flex desks which are bookable by the hour or day, and we have two semi-private dedicated desks that are rented monthly.”
Those who have the monthly rent will have access to a two-draw locking file cabinet.
Moore says there are several plans available to those who want to use the space on a regular basis.
“We have several different memberships that people can choose from. As little as ten hours a month up to an unlimited amount. Members can access the space 24/7. If you just want to be a regular customer and you don’t want to buy a membership, you can just go online and book the space. You are limited to 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
If you visit Spaces Facebook page it will provide a link and QR code to allow you to book a space.
Scott and Brittany Moore developed the new concept after moving their Moore than Behavior to a larger space at the former My School Building. Brittany says the building has special meaning to her because she had her first job at the Courthouse Coffee House that had earlier been in the building.
