The Salem volleyball team went 2-1 at the River to River Preview Tournament in Herrin on Saturday. They beat DuQuoin and Benton and lost to Nashville. Quinn Wolfe made the All-Tournament Team. Pinckneyville won the title going 5-0 on the day. They had Maddy Dill, Kate Folden and Claire Numi selected to the All-Tournament team.
South Central won the Christopher Bearcat Bash round robin tournament. They beat Joppa Maple Grovfe, Wayne City and Christopher each in straight sets. SC is 4-1 on the season.
Newton won the Fairfield Volleyball Kickoff, beating Fairfield in the 3-set semifinals and then beat NCOE in 3 sets in the title match. Fairfield beat Mt Vernon for 3rd.
