Saturday, Franklin Park won their tournament with a pair of wins. They opened with a 15-0 win over Central City. Kaylee Carroll drove in 4 runs on 2 hits as Salem scored 9 runs in the first inning. Skylar Gaston had 2 hits for the Lady Bobcats and Jayla Tabor was the winning pitcher giving up no hits and no runs over 3 innings with six strikeouts.
Salem then beat Carlyle 7-5 in spite seeing their 5 run lead whittled down at the end. Carroll and Gwen Goosetree each drove in a run. Landrey Rose walked 3 times. Gaston was the winner striking out 8 and scattering 10 hits in her complete game.
