Salem Police have arrested a 25-year-old homeless Salem man for criminal trespass to property.  Ivan Weibrecht had entered the McDonald’s restaurant parking lot where he had earlier been banned.  He was arrested late Monday night when police were called to a report of a man entering a home on North Marion Street and chasing the occupant around the home.  Police say there were no injuries.  No charges were filed in connection with that incident because Weibrecht had formerly stayed at the residence.   After being taken to the Marion County Jail, Weibrecht was released on notice to appear in court.

Salem Police arrested 30-year-old Joshua Walker for violation of an order of protection.  He was found at a residence on East Rogers where he was prohibited from having contact with one of the residents.  Walker was taken to the Marion County Jail where he remains pending further court action.

A 19-year-old Carbondale man, William Cooper, turned himself in on a Marion County felony no bond failure to appear warrant.
