Jefferson Fire reports they were able to confine an attic fire to a small area of a rural Woodlawn home early Saturday night. The fire was at a home owned by Lance Panzier and occupied by Kyle and Sandra Tolka in the 14,000 block of North Trout Lane.
The Tolka’s discovered the attic full of smoke after investigating why a fuse had blown.
Jefferson Fire reports they found a small fire in the blown-in insulation that was quickly put out. Mt. Vernon City and Woodlawn Firemen were called for mutual aid on the scene, while Bluford and Waltonville Firemen stood by at the Jefferson Fire Station in the event of another fire.
The fire call came in at 6:36 Saturday night.
