Salem Police arrested 37-year-old Hannah Redfeairn of West Allmon Street in Salem for domestic battery. She was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a final decision on charges.
Salem Police arrested 58-year-old Willow Branch of North College in Salem for possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a notice to appear in court.
The Salem Fire Protection District was called to the 500 block of North Walnut Street late Friday morning when a large tree limb on an oak tree began to break off. It had made contact with a power line and was hanging just above a garage when firemen arrived. They stood by until Ameren crews arrived to turn off power and remove the limb without incident.
