An investigation is continuing by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and the Illinois State Police Commercial Motor Vehicle Unit into a fatal crash involving a truck hauling water on Illinois Route 15 near Panzier Road in rural Woodlawn on Monday morning.
Jefferson County Coroner Roger Hayse says he pronounced Michael Braddy of White Swan Road dead at the scene. The coroner reports Braddy remained in the truck after it laid over on its side in the roadside ditch. He was not trapped.
Hayse says no other vehicle was involved, and it was not clear why the truck may have run off the road.
