A 36-year-old Salem man has been sentenced to a total of eight years in prison.

Timothy Pomeroy received five years for unlawful possession of a stolen or converted vehicle.  He also pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of methamphetamine and a petition to revoke his probation on another meth case.  Pomeroy received three years on each of those cases to run concurrently.   The stolen vehicle and drug sentences will then run consecutive to each other for the eight-year prison term.  After he gets out of prison, Pomeroy will have to complete one year of mandatory supervised release.

Pomeroy had initially been placed on probation for possession of meth in a 2023 case.  He then was arrested again for possession of meth in November 2025 and January of this year.  The possession of the stolen side-by-side following an incident last August.
