The Marion County Sheriff’s Department has released more information on a single vehicle rollover crash on the Walnut Hill Road just east of U.S. 51 southeast of Centralia late Saturday afternoon.
Reports indicate Nicholas Back left the north side of the of the road, jumped a culvert, and rolled the vehicle. He was out of the vehicle on the arrival of emergency help.
Back was taken via Lifestar Ambulance to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of a head injury. An Air Evac helicopter was initially called, but declined to fly due to the weather.
The car crashed at 4:22 Saturday afternoon.
