State Police have taken over the investigation of two homicides that occurred in Olney on Tuesday.
Olney Police and Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies first responded to two homes in the 400 block of East Monroe Street in Olney at 3:11 pm where the bodies were discovered in the separate homes. The deceased are identified as 52-year-old John D. Jones and 73-year-old Deborah J. Jones.
State Police say one person has been taken into custody. They report there is no risk to the public.
The investigation is ongoing.
