CARLYLE LAKE – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Carlyle Lake is proud to announce the return of the Fireworks Spectacular in celebration of the 250th anniversary of our nation’s independence. Join us on Saturday, June 27 at Dam West Recreation Area for a full day of live music, vendors, and an unforgettable fireworks display launching from Point One at dusk.
Presented by the Carlyle Lake Fireworks Committee and the City of Carlyle, this annual occasion is made possible through funds raised by the Carlyle Lake Haunted Trail, generous local sponsors, and donations collected during the celebration.
Top viewing locations for the fireworks include the Carlyle Lake Main Dam, Dam West Recreation Area, the Dam West and Dam East boat ramps, the Dam West and Dam East spillways, Mariner’s Village Resort, and viewing from the water. Traffic will be managed by park rangers, local law enforcement, and volunteers, with designated parking areas available at multiple locations to help ensure smooth access for visitors. Accessible accommodations for visitors with disabilities will be available at the Dam West Boat Ramp and Lakeview Access.
The Dam Jam at Shelter Two in Dam West Recreation Area will feature live music throughout the day from the following performers:
1 p.m. – The Jumpstarts
2:30 p.m. – One-Legged Pancakes
4 p.m. – Taylor-Huster All Stars
6 p.m. – Wicked Mojo
7:30 p.m. – 13 Grit
Dusk – Fireworks are shot off at Point One, usually around 9:00 p.m.
In addition to the Fireworks Spectacular, campground programs will be offered Friday evening, with water safety patrols active Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
