A 21-year-old Opdyke man has been arrested on multiple charges after allegedly entering a home on Apple Street in Wamac without permission while armed with a look alike gun.
Dreydyn Hart was later located at a home on Jefferson Street and taken into custody for alleged home invasion with a firearm, aggravated domestic battery, theft, unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful restraint.
Wamac Police say once inside the home, Hart allegedly brandished what turned out to be a look alike weapon, covered the female occupant's mouth, shoved her head into a pillow and the gun to the back of her head. The victim had been on the phone when the encounter began and the man on the other end called police. Hart allegedly fled the home on the victim's e- bike.
The resident at the home on Jefferson Street had Hart come out after police arrived there. He was taken into custody without incident. After being given consent to search, the look alike gun was also located.
The victim allegedly received a black eye, but declined hospital treatment.
