The IHSA State Final Four in baseball is set after Super Sectionals finished up yesterday.
The 3a/4a state final four will be held in Joliet at Slammers Stadium. Triad punched their ticket to state for the 2nd straight year as they scored the walk-off run in the bottom of the 8th inning on a wild pitch to beat Normal U-High 5-4 and win the Mt Zion Super Sectional. They will play at 1pm on Friday against Crystal Lake South after they knocked off Fenwick 4-0 at Schaumburg. St Rita and East Peoria play in the other semifinal.
In 4a on Friday, Naperville Central will play Maine South followed by Chicago Mt Carmel and Libertyville.
