The Salem Wildcats baseball program recently celebrated its season with its annual awards banquet, recognizing several players for their accomplishments and contributions throughout the year.

Senior Carter Lowe was named the team’s Most Valuable Player, while Brody Collier earned Pitcher of the Year honors. Logan Butts was recognized as the team’s Batting Average Leader, Luke Boldt received Defensive Player of the Year, Owen Tennyson was selected as Newcomer of the Year, and Max Vincent was honored with the prestigious Wildcat Award.

Salem finished the 2025 season with a 10-25 record, but the Wildcats showed significant improvement as the year progressed. The team closed the season playing some of its best baseball, highlighted by a dominant regional-opening victory over Flora and a competitive regional semifinal matchup against Teutopolis, where Salem pushed the perennial power and top seed to the limit.

With a young roster gaining valuable varsity experience throughout the season, the Wildcats have plenty of reasons for optimism moving forward. As Salem prepares for a transition into a new conference, the program appears well-positioned to build on its late-season momentum and make an immediate impact in 2027.
