Vernace William Heyduck was born on June 16, 1934, the son of Henry J. and Amy (Branch) Heyduck.  He passed away on June 5, 2026, at Salem Township Hospital at the age of 91.

He is survived by a sister, Dorothy Mercer of Salem.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Velma Finn and Irene Heyduck; and two brothers, Raymond Heyduck and Dwight Heyduck.

Vernace was a lifetime farmer.  He took great pride in his farm and his International Harvester tractors, as well as his Hereford Cattle.

He was a strong believer in the 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days.  He had a passion for duck hunting and was a lifetime member of Ducks Unlimited, a nationwide organization dedicated to the preservation of the wetlands.  He was also a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association of America.   Vernace was of protestant faith.

Graveside services for Vernace William Heyduck will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Cemetery in Centralia with Eric Price officiating.   There will be a time of visitation at Crouse Funeral Home on Friday the 12th from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.  Memorial contributions can be made to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.  Online condolences and memories can be left at www.CrouseFH.com.
