Community members are encouraged to attend as many sessions as they wish, as each program will feature a unique topic to help participants live healthier, more active lives. Boehne says nutrition is one of the most powerful tools we have to support health and prevent chronic diseases, yet many people don’t know where to start or believe it’s too late to make a difference. Nutrition can also feel overwhelming, especially with so much conflicting information available. Boehne says one of the most rewarding aspects of her job is helping people discover that healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated. Her goal is to provide community members with practical tips and evidence-based information that make improving health through food and nutrition affordable, achievable, and enjoyable.
