Father McGivney punched their ticket to the IHSA 1a girls soccer state final four with a 3-0 win over Litchfield to win the Super Sectional held at Civic Memorial. They will advance to Thursday’s semifinal at North Central College in Naperville when they play Timothy Christian. Johnsburg and Pleasant Plains are in the other semifinal.
In 2a, Waterloo and Morton will play tonight at the Chatham Glenwood Super Sectional.
In 3a, Edwardsville advanced by winning the Bloomington Super Sectional over Lincoln-Way Central 1-0. They will play Friday in their state semifinal against tonight’s winner between Hinsdale Central and New Trier at Dominican University.
