In 1a, North Clay looked like the top seed and #2 ranked team in Illinois with a dominant 13-0 regional semifinal win at home over South Central. North Clay scored 5 runs in the first and another 6 in the second to pull away. Eli Hiestand had the only SC hit. Trent Ingram drove in 3 North Clay runs with 2 each from Cayden Craig, Ian Jones and Carder Walden. NC advances to Saturday’s regional final where they will host the winner of today’s game between Dieterich and Casey Westfield.
