The Salem Fire Protection District was called out around midnight Monday morning to Roddy Road north of Mills Cart Road where what appeared to be smoke had filled the air.
Firemen believed they had pinpointed the cause coming from a building, but when a key holder arrived no problem was found inside. Upon further investigation, it was determined what appeared to be smoke was actually fog that was settling into the area and there was no fire.
