From teammates at Salem Community High School to teammates on one of college fishing’s biggest stages, Hunter Russell and Brogan Gregg are set for a special weekend on the water.
The final event of the 2025-26 college fishing season takes place this weekend as the Bass Pro Shops Association of Collegiate Anglers National Championship heads to legendary Pickwick Lake in Florence, Alabama.
Representing Wabash Valley College will be the boat of Salem graduates Hunter Russell and Brogan Gregg, continuing a partnership that began during their high school days and has now carried over to the collegiate level.
After spending years fishing side-by-side in Salem, the duo now has the opportunity to compete together against some of the top collegiate anglers in the nation on one of the sport’s premier fisheries.
Russell and Gregg are scheduled to weigh in at 3:30 p.m. central time.
Good luck to Brogan and Hunter as they represent Salem and Wabash Valley on the national stage.
