OPS Routs Lebanon In Midday Game
Austin Hoffman drove in 4 runs and Odin/Patoka/Sandoval won their game held in the middle of the day yesterday over Lebanon 12-2. The game started at noon with several area school kids in the district coming out to enjoy a day of baseball. Hoffman had a pair of doubles in his big game. Ben Spencer and Brady Cain had multiple hits for OPS. Cain was the winning pitcher as well. OPS is at Cisne today.
Orphans Hold Off Wesclin
Centralia built a 6-run lead in the 6th inning and then held off Wesclin’s charge for an 8-7 win. The game was tied at 2 in the top of the 5th when the Orphans plated 5 runs on just 2 hits. Valon Williams earned the win allowing 3 hits and 3 earned over 5.1. Rhett Lambert and Will Stanton had 2 hits each. Gabe Houser drove in 2.
McGivney Pulls Away From Rams
Yesterday, Mt Vernon fell to Father McGivney at the Cusumano Sports Complex 9-5. The game was tied at 2 in the bottom of the 4th when Owen Burke and Eli Prost drove in runs. The Griffins flipped the game in the fifth scoring 5 runs. Bronx Hefner took the loss in relief. Nolan Mast, Ryker Perigo, Maxwell Nowak, Prost and Burke each had a hit.
SC Wins Dual at Neoga
South Central won a pitcher dual over Neoga 3-2 on the road. SC trailed 1-0 until the 5th when they scored 3 runs on RBI singles from Hudson Moore and Ryker Dodson along with a Neoga error. Moore was the winner allowing 2 hits and a run over 4 innings with 6 strikeouts. Aidan Hoover got the save. SC will take on Brownstown/St Elmo today.
