The Salem Lady Wildcats competed in their final Cahokia Conference track and field meet on Wednesday. Overall, the Lady Wildcats finished 4th in the Mississippi Division of the Cahokia Conference.
Field Events:
-In Discus, Hannah Smith finished in first place with a throw of 115’11”.
-Emily Parrett threw a PR in the Shot Put (36’9”) and finished in first place. She also placed 5th in the Discus (98’5”).
-Kinsey Jarrett finished third in the Long Jump with a PR of 16’1”, and fourth in the Triple Jump (30’8.5”).
-Ella Smith finished fourth in the Shot Put (31’1.25).
-Finley Puricelli finished fourth in the High Jump (4-9).
-Emily Runyon finished fourth in the Pole Vault (7’8.75”) and Blaike Jourdan finished fifth (7’2.5’”).
Running Events:
-The 4X100 Relay team of Kinsey Jarrett, Eniya Jones, Carly Veach, and Finley Puricelli finished in second place (51.75). -Carly Veach also finished in second place for both the 100 Hurdles (16.05) and 200 Meters (26.65), and she finished in third place in the 300 Hurdles (49.84).
-Finley Puricelli also finished third in the 400 Meters (1:03.20) and 200 Meters with a PR time (26.78).
-The 4X200 Relay team of Kayleigh Jarrett, Nola Allison, Jazmin Guzman, and Eniya Jones finished fourth (2:01.52).
-Kinsey Jarrett also finished 5th in the 400 meters (1:06.86).
The Lady Wildcats will compete again next week at the Mattoon Sectional.
