The Salem Wildcats were 4th at the 40th annual Marion Relays. The hosts took the top spot with 148 points, Carbondale was 2nd and Carterville just ahead of Salem in 3rd.
In the field events, Silas Lux was 3rd in the shot, Trey Clark was 3rd in the discus, Avery and Payton Gullion tied for 3rd in the high jump, Holden Richardson was 4th in the pole vault, Gavin Harper 4th in the long jump.
On the track, the 4×200 team of Troy Keele, Gullion, Gullion and Alex Spencer was 1st. The Distant Medley Relay team of Hunter Malan, Spencer, Payton Gullion and Robby Shober was also 1st in a top 10 time in the state this year at #8. The 4×100 team of Keegan Cain, Troy Keele, Avery Gullion and Marquis Ettress were 3rd. The 4×400 team of Malan, Gullion, Gullion and Spencer was 3rd.

Silas Lux finished third in the shot put with a throw of 15.79m
Elijah Garrison threw a PR of 12.57m and Landon Tennyson threw a PR of 11.70m
In the discus Trey Clark finished third with a throw of 46.06m
Darryll Kaufman threw a PR of 42.61m and Landon Tennyson had a PR of 33.31m
In the high jump Avery and Payton Gullion both finished 3rd clearing 6’ 0”
Holden Richardson finished 4th in pole vault clearing 10’ 6” and Nate Lowry finished 6th clearing 10’ 0”
Gavin Harper finished 4th in the long jump with a PR of 20’ 7” and Marquis Ettress finished 8th with a jump of 19’ 5”
In the triple jump Liam Shober finished 5th with a jump of 39’ 3” and Riley Tate finished 6th with a jump of 38’ 7”

The 4×200 team of Troy Keele, Payton Gullion, Avery Gullion, and Alex Spencer finished first with a time of 1:33.5
The DMR 4000m team of Hunter Malan, Alex Spencer, Payton Gullion, and Robby Shober finished first with a time of 11:02.4
The 4×100 team of Keegan Cain, Troy Keele, Avery Gullion, and Marquis Ettress finished third with a season best 44.9
In the 100m Keegan Cain finished 4th running an 11.20 and Matthew Miraglia finished 5th running a 11.30
In the 300m hurdles Jayce Morton finished 4th running a 44.40
