It figured to be a tough day for the Salem Wildcats as they traveled to #3 in 3a Mascoutah for baseball action on Saturday, and that proved to be the case.

 

Salem dropped both game of the doubleheader.

 

In the opener, Salem fell 15-0. The Indians out hit Salem 16-2 in the four inning game and the Cats defense made 4 errors leading to 11 unearned runs.

 

At the plate, Eli Lograsso and Brenden Smith had the only Salem hits. Carter Lowe and Max Vincent pitched for the Cats.

 

Salem dropped Game 2 by a final of 14-0. Salem once again was outhit 8-2 with the singles coming from Logan Butts and Max Vincent. Hudson Gambill, Zane Applegate and Eli Lograsso pitched.

 

Salem is back in action with a game against Roxana in Cahokia Conference play on Tuesday.
