The Salem Lady Wildcats softball team split their home double header at Tully Park on Saturday with Lawrenceville.
Salem won 12-1. Katee Sellers went 3-4 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored along with a triple. Jaelyn Keller and Alivia Rasul doubled as part of 2 hit days and both drove in 2. Kendall Zimmermann and Emily Jones added Salem RBI. The Lady Cats got on the board early scoring 7 times in their first at bat. Kenley Cripps earned the 5-inning, complete game win. She allowed 3 hits and 1 run with 5 strikeouts.
Salem also lost to the Lady Indians 6-5 with Lawrenceville scoring two in the top of the seventh to take the lead and hold on. Isabella Decker homered and drove in 2 runs along with Keller. Sellers had 2 hits and Zimmermann doubled. Morgan Honerkamp pitched for Salem going all 7 innings.
