The Franklin Park golf team returns to the course at Salem Country Club today, where they’ll face DuQuoin, Selmaville, and Rome. The event also marks 8th Grade Night, with players set to be recognized prior to the 4 p.m. shotgun start.

Earlier this week, Salem hosted Nashville, Woodlawn, and Mt. Carmel on Monday, turning in a strong performance on their home course. The Bobcats claimed the team win with a score of 127. Carter Summers led the way, tying for first place with a 41, while EJ Wolfe finished tied for third after shooting a 42. Sawyer Clark carded a 44 to tie for fifth, and Grant Squibb’s 45 placed him in a tie for seventh. Mt. Carmel followed closely behind in second with a team score of 128.

On the girls’ side, Salem also secured a victory, finishing with a team score of 159. Kinsley Gansauer led the group with a second-place finish after shooting a 48. Skylar Gaston took fourth with a 52, and Kennedy Knapp tied for seventh with a 59. Nashville finished second in the girls’ competition with a score of 174.
