Sandoval Police have arrested a 59-year-old Sandoval resident for home invasion and criminal damage to property. Gail Williams of North Main was taken to the Marion County Jail to await further court action.
Centralia Police arrested 23-year-old Zykevious Burnett of Calumet City on aggravated battery with strangulation and criminal sexual abuse. He was also taken to the Marion County Jail.
Two others were taken to the Marion County Jail on no-bond felony failure-to-appear warrants. Spencer Loyd, who said he was homeless, was arrested by Wamac Police. Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 38-year-old Levi Sullivan of South Salem in Kinmundy.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a vehicle burglary on Edgebrook Lane. Several items are reported missing. The theft was reported just after noon on Tuesday.
Salem Fire Protection District was called to a Tuesday afternoon fire in the front yard of a home in the 100 block of Allmon Street. The fire was near the curb on the roadway and didn’t threaten the home.
